(ABMA)
The ABMA is a national association representing the manufacturers of commercial,
industrial and utility steam generating and fuel burning equipment, as well as
suppliers to the industry.
American Society of Heating, Refrigerating
and Air-conditioning Engineers, (ASHRAE)
The ASHRAE is a national association representing the professionals involved
with heating, ventilation, air conditioning or refrigeration including such
disciplines as indoor air quality and energy conservation.
Council of Industrial Boiler Owners, (CIBO)
The CIBO is a broad-based trade association of industrial boiler owners,
architect-engineers, related equipment manufacturers, and universities
representing 20 major industrial sectors. CIBO actively promotes: energy and
environmental equipment, technology operations and policies, laws and
regulations affecting industrial energy facilities.
Instrument Society of America, (ISA)
The ISA fosters advancement in the theory, design, manufacture, and use of
instruments, computers, and systems for measurement and control.
ISA Power Division
The Power Industry Division (also known as POWID) provides a means for
information exchange among engineers, scientists, technicians,
students/universities and management involved in instrumentation and control
relating to the production of electricity.
National Association of Power
Engineers, (NAPE)
A Power Engineer is a person proficient in converting energy into power. For
over 117 years NAPE has educated its members, in Chapters across the country, in
the field of Power Engineering. NAPE is dedicated to the Education of Power
Engineers.
Association for Facilities Engineering, (AFE)
AFE is a professional organization of 9,000 members. They bring together
professionals who ensure the optimal operation of plants, grounds and offices at
Fortune 500 manufacturers, universities, medical centers, government agencies
and innovative small firms from around the world.
Association of Energy Engineers, (AEE)
AEE is a source for information on the dynamic field of energy efficiency,
utility deregulation, facility management, plant engineering, and environmental
compliance. With a full array of information outreach programs from technical
seminars, conferences, books, critical buyer-seller networking tradeshows, job
listings, and certification programs, AEE offers a variety of information
resource tools.
American Society of Mechanical Engineers
The ASME International vision is to be the premier organization for promoting
the art, science and practice of mechanical engineering throughout the world.
National Fire Protection Association, (NFPA)
NFPA is dedicated to protecting people and their property from the devastating
effects of fire. In some way, virtually every building, process, service,
design, and installation in society today is affected by codes and standards
developed through NFPA's true consensus system. Through NFPA's National Fire
Codes®, as well as its education and community outreach programs, NFPA
continues to be the worldwide advisor on fire safety and protection. Boiler
firing systems in the USA follow the guidelines of the NFPA's 85 (previously
8501 & 8502) code.
Petroleum Equipment Institute, (PEI)
PEI member firms are in the mainstream of the petroleum marketing equipment
industry. Almost every significant U.S. firm engaged in the manufacture and
distribution of petroleum marketing equipment is a member of PEI. Member
companies, located throughout the world, are the leading manufacturers, sellers,
and installers of equipment used in service stations, terminals, bulk plants,
fuel oil and gasoline delivery. PEI is committed to maintaining it's role as the
leading authority and source of information for the petroleum handling equipment
industry.
